The Sr. District Manager holds full P&L accountability for a $25–50 million industrial water treatment business across South Texas (Houston to Corpus Christi). This senior leadership role is responsible for driving revenue growth, retaining key customers across refining, chemical, power, and manufacturing segments, and optimizing the performance of technical sales and service teams. The position also leads the development and execution of a strategic growth plan, with a strong focus on attracting, developing, and retaining top talent to deliver sustained business results and achieve core objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or a related technical/business field.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in industrial water treatment, with at least 5+ years in a commercial management role leading, hiring and developing teams.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing P&L and driving sales growth in the water treatment industry.
  • Established network and working knowledge of the South Texas industrial market (Houston refining hubs, Coastal Bend petrochemical facilities).
  • Strong financial acumen, exceptional negotiation skills, and a solid foundation in water chemistry applications.

Responsibilities

  • Own and drive the district’s profit and loss (P&L) targets, achieving top-line growth and margin expansion for a $25M–$50M portfolio.
  • Develop and execute annual business plans, forecasting, and budget allocations.
  • Drive pricing strategies, contract renewals, and competitive market positioning across the industrial (manufacturing/F&B), power, petroleum refining, and petrochemical sectors.
  • Spearhead business development initiatives targeting large-scale industrial accounts, refineries, and manufacturing facilities in the Gulf Coast region.
  • Directly negotiate high-stakes contracts and act as the executive sponsor for major accounts in the Houston to Corpus Christi corridor.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities for chemical treatment, equipment, and digital monitoring solutions.
  • Work collaboratively with Corporate Accounts to manage and expand strategic relationships with our strategic customers.
  • Oversee district field operations, technical support, and service delivery to ensure chemical program efficacy for clients and focus on driving continuous improvement.
  • Ensure strict adherence to district-wide safety protocols and environmental compliance regulations.
  • Audit district performance metrics for service delivery focusing on leadership level relationships with clients to ensure high customer feedback ratings.
  • Manage, mentor, and recruit a diverse team of Account Managers, Field Service Representatives, and technical specialists.
  • Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular reviews, and foster a high-performance culture focused on account retention and organic growth.
  • Coordinate regular technical training to ensure team competency in boiler water, cooling water, and wastewater treatment applications.
