About The Position

Eaton’s North American Sales Division is currently seeking a Senior Distributor Sales Representative (DSR) to join its team. This position is located in Nashville, TN and only candidates within this territory will be considered. This exciting opportunity provides direct ownership of distributor relationships and territory growth through hands-on sales, inventory optimization, and channel strategy execution within a dynamic and complex market. The primary function of Senior Distributor Sales Representative is to manage and demonstrate strong knowledge of the assigned channel partners within the territory to increase sales in the local marketplace and provide sales and technical assistance. This position will be responsible for directly interfacing with distributors within their territory by providing a variety of sales support and administrative services in inventory management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in the electrical industry
  • Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver’s license
  • Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position.
  • No relocation assistance will be provided for this role.
  • Candidates must currently reside within 50 miles of either Nashville, TN.
  • Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Responsibilities

  • Managing growth in distributor stock sales and residential contractor sales for the Middle and East TN markets.
  • Partnering with regional channel director, sales engineers and sales manager/director on a territory channel strategy and plan each year; and effectively executing this plan against set targets.
  • Continuously supporting customer issue resolution.
  • Making recommendations to management and channel director to increase effectiveness of initiatives and programs.
  • Tracking and measuring distributor and residential contractor growth using sales reporting tools and reviewing stock levels with each channel partner on an on-going basis.
  • Strategically evaluating and optimizing inventory at assigned distributors to ensure adequate levels of standard control and distribution equipment products to maximize sales.
  • Making recommendations on product changes, layout changes, and stock levels to optimize Eaton's position.
  • Independently developing and implementing action plans targeted at YOY growth and agreed performance levels.
  • Making recommendations to management and channel director regarding potential challenges or issues on a case-by-case basis, offering solutions and pro-actively scheduling joint sales calls.
  • Training distributors on how to use internal programs including but not limited to Order Center, Project Center, Bid Manager, and the Commitments program.
