About The Position

Pediatrics Plus is a specialized pediatric healthcare provider committed to helping children succeed through evidence-based therapy, education, diagnostic services, state-of-the-art facilities, specialized equipment, family support, and community investment. The Senior Director role is responsible for providing strategic leadership to the developmental preschool, therapy, and ABA programs at the site, fostering the company culture, and ensuring excellence in service. This position oversees all aspects of site operations, including enrollment, team leadership, systems and processes, compliance with state guidelines, financial management (revenue/expenses), and health and safety.

Requirements

  • Ability to function independently in all aspects, including project identification, evaluation, contract negotiations, and coordination.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a very busy environment.
  • Computer skills including keyboarding, database, word processing, spreadsheet, and Internet software.
  • Ability to represent the company in a confident, persuasive, and positive manner.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work under stress and respond quickly in emergency situations.
  • In-depth knowledge of operational, clinical and referral development systems.
  • Ability to work effectively within a complex matrix organization.
  • Reports for work dressed appropriately and complies with company policies regarding dress code.
  • Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Early Childhood Special Education, or therapy related field.
  • 3+ years of successful experience in a classroom setting working with developmentally at-risk children and/or broad clinical experience.
  • Comfortable around standard farm animals, including minimal allergies to touching, smelling, feeding, and engaging with animals (if working at a Farm location).

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership to the developmental preschool, therapy, and ABA programs.
  • Build and reinforce the Pediatrics Plus culture at the site.
  • Ensure excellence in service delivery.
  • Oversee all aspects of site operations, including preschool and therapy enrollment.
  • Lead and manage team members, including hiring, terminations, corrective actions, performance reviews, and training.
  • Manage site systems and processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all state-mandated guidelines, Arkansas Childcare Licensing, AR Medicaid EIDT, governing agencies, and company policies.
  • Manage site revenue and expenses, including budget oversight for preschool and therapy programs.
  • Ensure health and safety standards are met.
  • Lead daily team huddles for priority setting, obstacle identification, and team support.
  • Lead site retention efforts for quality team members.
  • Oversee the direction of preschool, therapy, and ABA operations, focusing on therapeutic/developmental aspects, collaboration, and family engagement.
  • Oversee annual themes and ensure they are promoted.
  • Provide oversight and leadership for team member development, including one-on-one meetings with direct reports (Director of Therapy Services, Director of Preschool Services, Director of ABA Services, Administrative Team Lead, Nurse).
  • Oversee developmental preschool enrollment and therapy caseload management.
  • Make decisions and oversee the discharge process for clients.
  • Maintain quality assurance through provided measures.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of HR functions (payroll, time-off requests, worker’s compensation, leaves of absences) and maintain communication with HR.
  • Handle site-related people issues, including coaching, warnings, development plans, and terminations (with appropriate approvals).
  • Attend and represent the site in organizational, leadership, and clinical program meetings.
  • Assist with marketing events, doctor visits, and other marketing avenues.
  • Handle parent complaints or concerns and escalate as needed.
  • Ensure completion of site metrics to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Attend local business functions and build relationships with local businesses, influencers, parent groups, churches, and chambers.
  • Demonstrate understanding of the local Lead program and serve as a representative.
  • Participate in one-on-one meetings with their leader.
  • Perform other related and non-related duties as assigned.
