We are seeking a visionary leader to lead the future of work across our Americas West region. As the architect of our regional real estate & operations strategy, you will oversee a diverse portfolio, including the strategic transformation of our San Jose campus into a premier Engineering R&D hub, as well as critical locations in Santana Row (executive HQ), San Francisco, greater Los Angeles metro (CA), Seattle (WA), and Boulder (CO). You will bridge high-level strategy with operational excellence, maintaining full financial accountability while ensuring our physical spaces serve as a competitive advantage that fuels Cisco’s growth. Requirements

  • The ability to pivot seamlessly between long-term vision and daily operational execution.
  • Demonstrated success in navigating, influencing, and driving cohesive outcomes within a highly networked and matrixed organizational structure. Leverage and hold responsible SME functions within WPR to deliver exceptional outcomes to our clients.
  • Deep curiosity combined with the logical reasoning required to solve complex problems, manage P&L performance, and prioritize high-impact initiatives.
  • A proven track record of steering complex, multi-site real estate portfolios for large, global organizations.
  • A natural collaborator who thrives on open communication and building trust-based partnerships across diverse teams.
  • BS degree in relevant functional expertise, with a strong preference for advanced degree and/or ongoing coursework.
  • Extensive industry experience spanning more than 15 years will be considered to be equivalent.
  • Experience with and knowledge of real estate, financial, risk and partner management.
  • Demonstrable service & experience-led leadership style.
  • Experience leading successful outsourced partner relationship management strategies, metrics and procurement processes
  • Experienced track record of successful relationship building and solution delivery in comparable environments.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary representative of Workplace Resources (WPR) for internal stakeholders and external partners, evangelizing our value proposition and aligning our workplace strategy with Cisco’s mission.
  • Lead the evolution of our San Jose campus into a cutting-edge R&D center, creating environments that inspire technological breakthroughs.
  • Create strategic opportunities and competitive differentiators through innovative portfolio planning, operational effectiveness and experience-led employee solutions.
  • Champion an experience-first culture, ensuring every touchpoint from design and construction to facility management is intuitive, inclusive, and human-centric. Foster belief in the power of design that reinforces brand identity and creates meaningful workplace experiences. Sweat the details to make the workplace feel thoughtful & make people feel seen.
  • Exercise full financial responsibility for the region. You will manage annual operating expenses and ensure capital investments are delivered with precision, assuring the portfolio remains both cost-effective and innovative.
  • Own day-to-day operations across all locations with consistency and care. You will ensure the reliability, safety, and continuous performance of our physical infrastructure through proactive monitoring and rapid resolution strategies. Sweat the details to make the workplace feel thoughtful.
  • Partner with cross-functional leaders in HR, IT, and various Business Units. You must demonstrate the ability to work effectively across a highly networked and matrixed organization to translate complex business demands into seamless workplace experiences.
