About The Position

The Crohn's & Colitis Foundation is a non-profit, volunteer-fueled organization whose mission is to cure Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis and improve the quality of life for the children and adults affected by these diseases. Our work is dramatically accelerating the research process through our varied research initiatives; we also provide extensive educational and support resources for patients and their families, medical professionals, and the public. In addition, we lead federal and state-based advocacy campaigns to support medical research funding and improve patient access to care. Position Summary: The Senior Director, Volunteer-Fundraiser-Donor Engagement will lead all aspects of the Foundation’s volunteer engagement program. This individual will lead, design and implement several concurrent cross-department or enterprise-wide projects working with a cross-functional team to ensure leadership alignment and initiatives run efficiently and achieve measurable impact. The Senior Director works in partnership with field, revenue, marketing, mission and IT department stakeholders to build and implement Foundation-wide strategy, trainings, resources, analytics and infrastructure and will oversee project plans and deliverables. The ideal candidate is an experienced program leader and project manager who has successfully worked within nonprofit environments, with donor and revenue campaigns, boards and committees and who is skilled at coordinating cross-functional teams to achieve vision.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree graduate or professional experience equivalent
  • Minimum 8 years professional experience including 4 years in non-profit sector
  • Proven ability to build strategy, lead interconnected projects and coordinate, motivate and work well with a diverse team of staff across departments with a variety of leadership styles
  • Expertise in designing and developing comprehensive training curricula, interactive e-learning module and tools
  • Proven success in building performance dashboards that demonstrate progress and in using data to identify trends /gaps
  • Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills for diverse audiences
  • Strong problem-solving, time-management, and multi-tasking skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Independent, self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Tech savvy: Proficient with MS Office Suite, Salesforce; project management tool knowledge a plus

Responsibilities

  • Program strategy and development: Partner with stakeholders to define roadmap, objectives, and success criteria; design and launch programs with measurable goals that achieve objectives
  • Training conference: Lead planning, execution and management of annual training conference for approximately 250 leadership staff and volunteers.
  • Program management and execution: Manage complex, cross-departmental projects from initiation through close-out; define clear project timelines, milestones and deliverables to ensure program objectives are met; coordinate logistics and staff resources as well as create trainings and tools needed
  • Cross-project coordination: Manage interdependencies between different projects, identify and mitigate risks impacting deliverables
  • Monitoring, evaluation and reporting: establish KPIs and performance metrics with stakeholders to measure effectiveness; develop dashboards, reporting tools, and data-drive insights to improve outcomes; regularly assess using data analysis and CRM functionality/processes/reports
  • C- Stakeholder engagement: Cultivate relationships with stakeholders; act as primary bridge between cross-functional teams and executives; facilitate regular status updates from stakeholders
  • Change Management: guide stakeholders through structural or operational changes, ensuring stakeholders embrace new procedures and standards; identify opportunities for process optimization and automation to improve overall efficiency
  • Quality Assurance: set standards across program cycle and ensure deliverables meet objectives and stakeholders expectations
  • Resource and budget management: Allocate staff and technology optimally across the program; develop, allocate and monitor program budget.
  • Oversee project execution from start to finish including tracking progress, identifying issues, and mitigating risk.
  • Lead projects as assigned and/or provide project management support.
  • Other duties as required.
