About The Position

This leader will serve as the functional leader for the U.S. Biosurgery Marketing organization and will report to the Vice President, U.S. Marketing. This leader will be a member of the Marketing Leadership Team and will have end-to-end accountability for the $1B+ U.S. Biosurgery platform. The Senior Director will lead the development, execution, and delivery of U.S. Biosurgery marketing strategies, business plans, and commercial priorities. This includes responsibility for customer and market insights, brand strategy, market segmentation, product positioning, KOL engagement, demand generation, channel strategy, forecasting, pricing, portfolio optimization, launch excellence, and budget management. The role requires a strategic, commercially focused, and enterprise-minded leader who can translate customer insight into growth strategy, partner effectively across the organization and lead a high-performing marketing team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 12 years of relevant business experience required.
  • Significant marketing leadership experience in medical devices, healthcare, or a related commercial environment required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of people leadership experience required.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a complex portfolio or business platform/team with financial accountability.
  • Proven experience developing and implementing marketing strategies that deliver revenue growth, share gain, profitability, and customer impact.
  • Strong business insights, including experience with forecasting, pricing, budget management, portfolio planning, and performance analytics.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate customer, market, and competitive insights into clear strategy and executable commercial plans.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership and influencing skills in a large organizational environment.
  • Experience partnering with Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, Professional Education, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Legal, Global Marketing, R&D, and external customers.
  • Demonstrated commitment to talent development, inclusive leadership, and building high-performing teams.
  • Ability to travel up to 30%, domestic and international.

  • Medical device, surgery, biosurgery, hemostasis, wound closure, or related procedural healthcare experience preferred.
  • Experience leading new product launches, portfolio lifecycle management, omnichannel marketing, market development, and customer engagement strategies preferred.
  • Experience developing clinical and economic value propositions, KOL strategies, society engagement, and evidence-based marketing programs preferred.
  • Experience working across U.S. and global teams preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the U.S. Biosurgery platform with full accountability for revenue growth, gross margin, market share, portfolio performance, pricing, demand generation, and return on marketing investment.
  • Define and implement the multi-year platform strategy to profitably outgrow the market, strengthen Biosurgery’s leadership position, expand market adoption in strategic specialties, and shape the future standard of care in bleeding management.
  • Build and deliver on modern connected marketing capabilities, including digital engagement, inside sales integration, customer journey design, targeted media, and funnel performance tracking.
  • Lead platform-level thought leadership and market-shaping initiatives, including multidisciplinary surgeon forums, bleeding management summits, Delphi consensus work, advisory boards, faculty programs, and society engagement.
  • Team with Professional Education, Medical Affairs, Clinical, HEMA, Regulatory, Legal, Global Strategic Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain, Finance, Sales Planning, Field Sales, Key Account Management, and Commercial Operations to align strategy and execution.
  • Provide commercial leadership for new product introductions and lifecycle management, including launch planning, customer targeting, positioning, pricing, supply readiness, and field activation.
  • Partner with internal and external customers to support compelling clinical and economic value propositions.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive dynamics, customer behavior, and performance analytics to identify risks, opportunities, and corrective actions.
  • Manage marketing investment with rigor, ensuring budget allocation is aligned to strategic priorities, measurable growth drivers, and return on investment.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing marketing team, building critical marketing capabilities, succession depth, inclusive leadership, and a culture of belonging, accountability, and high performance.
  • Represent the US Biosurgery platform in senior leadership forums, business reviews, global planning discussions, and cross-functional governance meetings.
