AstraZeneca•Boston, MA

About The Position

Evinova, a health tech business within the AstraZeneca Group, builds science-based, evidence-led digital health solutions for clinical trials. Quality is embedded throughout product development. The Product Engineering organization works in cross-functional squads to deliver digital products to patients and healthcare providers worldwide. The Senior Director, Testing & Quality Engineering will consolidate testing teams distributed across squads and products into a unified, high-performing function, while continuing to run the function during the transition. The role owns quality engineering across Evinova’s full product portfolio, including unified leadership, standards, tooling, automation maturity, and alignment with delivery teams. The leader will establish Director-level testing leads for product areas and define and enforce GA-readiness standards. This is a hands-on leadership role, involving work with test pipelines, CI/CD configurations, automation frameworks, and coverage metrics. The role will lead the shift from manual to automated functional testing, establish GxP requirements-to-test traceability, develop AI evaluation and monitoring practices, and use AI tools to improve testing workflows. Success is measured through progress in coverage, automation maturity, testing quality, and release quality. The role also establishes quality metrics and partners across engineering, product, quality, and delivery to embed quality earlier in development. The position is expected to work from the office an average of at least three days per week, with individual flexibility. Annual base pay is $203,213.60–$304,820.40 USD. The role also offers a short-term incentive bonus opportunity and eligibility for the salaried equity-based long-term incentive program, as well as a qualified retirement program, paid vacation and holidays, paid leaves, and medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage.
