This role partners closely with practice leadership, clinical stakeholders, and the US Oncology Technology team to drive practice technology strategy and execution aligned to practice and patient care priorities. The role ensures the effective adoption, integration, and optimization of healthcare technologies that improve clinical outcomes, operational efficiency, performance, and patient experience. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Healthcare Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 15+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, with at least 5+ years in senior leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated experience leading large-scale IT transformations and modernization initiatives.
  • Experience working in complex, cross-functional and matrixed environments.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with practice, clinical, and US Oncology Network leadership to align Practice technology strategy with healthcare delivery, regulatory requirements, and business objectives.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on technology capabilities that support practice performance.
  • Oversee execution of IT modernization initiatives (e.g., infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud, network, and application transformation) across sites of care.
  • Ensure modernization efforts are scalable, cost-effective, and aligned to enterprise architecture and security standards.
  • Act as a key liaison between practices and US Oncology Technology.
  • Ensure consistent adoption of standards, platforms, and policies across all supported sites.
  • Collaborate on roadmap planning, prioritization, and execution of technology initiatives.
  • Provide field-level feedback to inform US Oncology technology strategy and continuous improvement.
  • Operate in a highly matrixed environment, partnering across the Practice IT, clinical operations, compliance, and finance teams.
  • Facilitate collaboration across stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of complex, multi-disciplinary programs.
  • Provide leadership oversight for a portfolio of technology initiatives, ensuring strong governance, prioritization, and delivery outcomes.
  • Lead large-scale, multi-site implementations with clear accountability for timelines, budgets, and outcomes.
  • Establish KPIs and performance metrics to measure business and clinical impact.
  • Assist with Practice level evaluation, selection, and implementation of healthcare-specific technologies
  • Ensure solutions meet regulatory, compliance, and data security requirements (e.g., HIPAA).
  • Build, lead, and coach local on-site IT resources to deliver high-touch, white-glove support to physicians, clinicians, and practice staff.
  • Ensure local IT teams are aligned to US Oncology standards while remaining highly responsive to clinical and operational needs.
  • Drive accountability for service excellence, user experience, and rapid issue resolution in patient-care environments.
  • Establish and maintain policies, procedures, and governance models to ensure integrity, availability, and efficiency of practice-level systems.
  • Drive continuous improvement in IT service delivery, operational performance, and user satisfaction.
  • Provide executive-level communication and reporting to practice presidents, administrative leaders, and US Oncology partners.
  • Build strong relationships to support adoption and change management across practices.
