About The Position

MoonPay Institutional is where we work with the world's most sophisticated financial institutions, asset managers, trading firms, and exchanges. It is a high-stakes, high-velocity environment where the deals are complex and the bar is exceptionally high. As Senior Director, Strategic Initiatives, you will support the Head of Institutional and lead strategy that shapes how MoonPay Institutional grows. You will identify, structure, and drive the partnerships, commercial products, and cross-functional priorities that move the business forward. You will lead as an operator that works closely with the Head to manage the business and takes direct accountability for outcomes that matter.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in strategy, corporate development, investment banking, or a senior commercial role within financial services or crypto
  • Deep familiarity with the institutional digital asset landscape, including custody, prime brokerage, OTC, tokenization, or funds infrastructure
  • Experience structuring complex, multi-party deals and seeing them through to close
  • A track record of building something measurable from a position of real accountability
  • Ability to operate at both the strategic and executional level without losing quality at either
  • Strong analytical thinking and the ability to communicate clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Bachelor's degree required

Responsibilities

  • Define the strategic roadmap for MoonPay Institutional, working closely with the business head and senior leadership to prioritize the initiatives that create the most commercial leverage
  • Lead high-value partnership negotiations and deal structures with institutional clients and financial infrastructure providers
  • Translate market signals and competitive intelligence into clear recommendations that shape product direction and go-to-market strategy
  • Drive execution across Product, Legal, Compliance, Sales, and Engineering, holding each workstream to a high standard of delivery
  • Identify white space opportunities in the institutional crypto market and develop the business case to pursue them
