About The Position

Cardlytics is seeking a Senior Director, Strategic Finance & Corporate Development to serve as a strategic finance partner to leadership and help shape the company’s financial direction. This role will play a key part in delivering financial insights, supporting strategic decision-making, and driving planning processes across the business. Reporting to the Senior Director, Strategic Finance & FP&A, this individual will support the company’s budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and financial performance analysis. They will partner closely with cross-functional leaders to provide actionable insights, support executive and Board reporting, and contribute to strategic initiatives that drive the company’s long-term growth and financial objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred
  • 8-12+ years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles and a background in investment banking
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to build and maintain complex spreadsheets and financial models
  • Strong understanding of financial planning, forecasting, and reporting processes
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights
  • Experience presenting to C-level executives, board members, and external stakeholders
  • Familiarity with macOS and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
  • Familiarity with or willingness to work within the macOS and Windows environment is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experienced in a public company environment and familiarity with SEC reporting requirements
  • Knowledgeable of the broader software and technology landscapes
  • Experienced with International finance, particularly in working with global teams and cross-border financial operations (a plus)

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the CEO, CFO, and executive leadership to provide financial insights that inform strategic decision-making
  • Lead the ongoing build-out and refinement of the corporate financial model to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making
  • Prepare materials and support quarterly and ad hoc reporting for executive leadership, the Audit Committee, and the Cardlytics Board
  • Partner with Accounting, Investor Relations, and business leaders to ensure accurate financial reporting and support external communications
  • Mentor members of the Strategic Finance team while fostering strong financial rigor and business partnership
  • Build financial models and business cases to evaluate strategic initiatives, investments, and growth opportunities
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial planning processes, reporting, and decision-support capabilities through automation and best practices
  • Support a strong control environment by partnering with Accounting to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information
  • Develop and own financial models, valuation analyses, and business cases to support investment decisions and strategic transactions.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive dynamics, and industry opportunities to inform long-term growth strategy.
  • Develop business cases and financial analyses to support capital allocation and long-term strategic decision-making.
