About The Position

The Senior Director, Software Engineering, leads the strategic direction and execution of complex engineering programs with a focus on AI/ML-enhanced solutions. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 7 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
  • 9 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
  • 4 years’ supervisory experience.
  • Extensive experience leading software engineering teams with a focus on AI/ML-enhanced solutions and cloud-native technologies.
  • Proven expertise in software architecture, system design, and scalable platform development across multiple programming languages and frameworks.
  • Strong skills in project and program management, including milestone tracking and risk mitigation.
  • Ability to develop and execute technology roadmaps aligned with business objectives and competitive trends.
  • Demonstrated success in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence.
  • Experience mentoring senior leaders and fostering a culture of ownership and technical excellence.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 5 years' experience in software engineering or related area.
  • Background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end execution of engineering programs focused on AI/ML-enhanced solutions, ensuring scalable and maintainable system design.
  • Oversee development of agentic AI systems, providing architectural guidance across backend, frontend, and mobile technologies.
  • Drive standardization and reuse of architectural patterns to accelerate delivery and reduce technical debt.
  • Collaborate with Product and Program Management to align roadmaps, milestones, and software product strategy.
  • Cultivate engineering talent through mentorship, fostering a culture of ownership and continuous growth.
  • Ensure technical quality and timely delivery of solutions meeting business objectives.
  • Promote innovation by identifying improvement opportunities and integrating feedback across teams.
