About The Position

Directs the process for identifying and obtaining appropriate licenses for new and existing businesses, supporting new business development and expansion across company operations. The role works with state personnel and internal and external sources to identify state requirements, obtain information needed to fulfill filing obligations, and research regulatory environments. It advises on regulatory requirements for new product development and leads discussions about licensure, organizational structure obligations, financial funding levels and timing, and required filings. The position assesses whether requirements can be met, proposes mitigation strategies, and executes business implementation plans by engaging support functions such as finance, legal, and compliance. It also advises senior leadership on significant state-level regulatory trends and coordinates and tracks business licensure application documentation and submissions.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
At least 8 years of regulatory operations, compliance, business operations, project management, or related experience.
Managed care and state licensing experience in a healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

Engage with state personnel and conduct independent research into regulatory environments.
Advise on regulatory requirements and concerns related to new product development.
Lead discussions regarding licensure requirements, organizational structure obligations, financial funding levels and timing, and required filings.
Assess the viability of requirements and the ability to fulfill them, and propose mitigation strategies.
Execute business implementation plans, including initiating requests to finance, legal, compliance, and other support functions to address state-specific requests and escalating issues as appropriate.
Advise senior leadership on significant state-level regulatory trends affecting business operations.
Coordinate and track application documentation and submissions for business licensure.
