About The Position

As a Project Team Leader, you will be accountable for execution for our high-priority therapeutic programs. This is a high-visibility leadership role that sits at the intersection of science, strategy, and operations. You will lead multidisciplinary teams through the complexities of the drug development lifecycle—from preclinical proof-of-concept through clinical trials and regulatory filing. The ideal candidate possesses a rare blend of scientific expertise and leadership skills, required to align diverse stakeholders in a fast-paced biotech environment.

Requirements

  • Ph.D, M.D.. or Master’s degree in Life Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, etc.) or business.
  • 15+ years in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry, with at least 4 years in a dedicated project leadership or program management role
  • Proven track record moving assets from research through IND-enabling and clinical studies.
  • Ability to manage cross-functional teams, delegate appropriately, and strong understanding of what goes into high quality decision making
  • Experience in areas from target validation and drug discovery through clinical trials.
  • Experience utilizing AI tool in drug discovery and development
  • Building effective organizational relationships at senior and peer levels to get important work completed
  • A startup mindset—comfortable with ambiguity and able to alter direction when needed.
  • Able to distill critical decisions to facilitate decision making.
  • Able to clearly communicate in writing or presentation, and to so while minimizing misunderstandings or negative reactions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a matrixed team of experts across Discovery, Preclinical, Clinical, and CMC (Manufacturing), to drive project advancement.
  • Develop and present options for the program for senior management, including timing, target profiles, and cost.
  • Manage the program budget, including resource allocation, forecasting.
  • Act as the primary point of communication for executive leadership.
  • Lead discussions within the team to interpret data and develop recommendations.
  • Lead governance and technical discussions.
  • Proactively identify "deal-breakers" in the development path. You don't just report risks; you build contingency plans to bypass them.
