Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Pharmacy or related field is required.
  • 15+ years total professional experience, including 10+ years leading complex global programs/portfolios
  • 8y+ experience in CDMO or pharmaceutical industry, with a preference for biologics manufacturing and/or advanced therapy
  • Proven experience of working with complex, global clients
  • Demonstrated success in program management at global level
  • Experience in coaching and leading global, virtual teams
  • Strong financial acumen (budgeting, margin management, risk/opportunity analysis); adept at contract/change management and scenario planning

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in life science is preferred.
  • PgMP or PMP certification.
  • Experience building global program governance frameworks and standard work.
  • Familiarity with biologics manufacturing modalities (e.g., mAbs, viral vectors, cell therapies) and tech transfer in GMP environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop high-performing, global virtual program teams—driving accountability, collaboration, inclusion, and results.
  • Partner closely with the Global Account Lead to build a partnership for life.
  • Serve as the executive point of contact and principal customer liaison.
  • Establish governance models, communicate transparently, align outcomes to client objectives, and address concerns promptly.
  • Own program financials and commercial stewardship: P&L elements (budget, margin, cash flow), scenario planning, change orders/contract amendments, and delivery against cost/schedule/quality.
  • Set strategic program planning and portfolio governance: define multi-year roadmaps, scope/benefits, resourcing, and alignment with enterprise strategy and global priorities.
  • Drive enterprise risk management across technical, supply, regulatory, and commercial domains—implementing controls, contingencies, and escalation pathways to ensure reliable delivery.
  • Oversee program performance: manage milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and critical path; leverage program management tools to pre-empt risks and roadblocks; report to internal ELT and clients.
  • Champion continuous improvement and operational excellence—standardizing best practices, codifying lessons learned, and elevating speed and quality with a Lean/Six Sigma mindset.
  • Build program management capabilities: mentor PMs, reinforce governance, and succession plan for critical roles.
  • Partner with Global Account Leads and BD on strategic pursuits—proposals, solution design, pricing strategies, and win themes.
  • Synthesize insights and recommendations for the ELT—informing strategic prioritization and investment decisions.
  • And all other duties as assigned.
