Expedia Group is undergoing a significant transformation in talent management, shifting from traditional HR processes to an AI-native, product-led approach for talent experiences. The High-Performance Culture portfolio is central to this change, offering a unique opportunity to build an enterprise performance strategy and experience from the ground up. This role will shape the careers of thousands of employees who contribute to Expedia Group's mission of helping millions of travelers explore the world. The Corporate Functions at Expedia Group encompass various support teams, including Global Finance, Legal, Strategy and Corporate Development, and People & Places. This position is within the High-Performance Culture portfolio, driving the evolution of talent management practices.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to operate at the intersection of strategy and execution, capable of developing a 3-year product vision and writing detailed requirements.
  • Demonstrated track record of owning and shipping enterprise products or programs at scale in complex global environments, from strategy through iteration.
  • Experience partnering with technology teams (engineering, product, HRIS platforms) to build and improve HR technology products.
  • Experience in talent management, HR product management, or a closely related field in global, complex organizations.
  • Deep expertise in performance management philosophy and practice, including calibration, rating frameworks, promotion mechanics, feedback design, and underperformance management.
  • Product leadership skills: defining vision, building roadmaps, prioritizing, and delivering outcomes on complex platforms with cross-functional dependencies.
  • Technology acumen: comfortable with AI/ML concepts and their application in talent products, able to engage credibly with technical teams.
  • Data fluency: ability to use quantitative and qualitative data to make decisions, influence stakeholders, diagnose problems, and evaluate product performance.
  • Stakeholder influence: ability to build alignment across diverse, senior stakeholders through clear reasoning, relationships, and organizational savvy.
  • Execution rigor: ability to lead delivery with operational excellence, including clear plans, risk management, and follow-through.

Responsibilities

  • Architect the vision and product roadmap for EG's High-Performance Culture portfolio, covering performance cycles, goal setting, feedback, promotions, and underperformance management.
  • Define product strategy based on user research, business data, and an understanding of high-performance cultures in global, complex technology organizations.
  • Lead product design and continuous improvement, translating strategy into requirements, collaborating with engineering, and iterating based on outcomes and feedback.
  • Own product KPIs such as adoption, satisfaction, cycle quality, and time-to-outcome to guide roadmap decisions and demonstrate business impact.
  • Define EG's enterprise philosophy on performance differentiation, calibration, and building leaders' capability in talent decision-making.
  • Partner with HRBPs, Talent Strategy Partners, and senior business leaders to ensure performance and promotions products drive talent retention, clarity of expectations, and equitable, data-driven decisions.
  • Lead governance and standards for the performance and promotions ecosystem, including calibration frameworks, leveling alignment, and underperformance playbooks.
  • Drive AI-native product development by design, integrating agentic solutions, AI-assisted evaluations, and predictive insights in partnership with People Tech and People Analytics.
  • Evaluate and prioritize AI opportunities based on their potential to reduce friction and improve quality, while managing risk.
  • Lead a diverse cross-functional team (engineering, HR, compensation, communications) to co-create roadmaps, prioritize backlogs, and ensure high-quality delivery.
  • Navigate complex stakeholder relationships (CHRO, HRBP Leaders, Compensation, Finance, Legal, Employee Relations, L&D) to reach consensus and maintain the long-term product vision.
  • Ensure enterprise launch readiness for performance and promotions cycles, including enablement, change management, and support.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of product and program managers, modeling EG Behaviors and setting high standards for product craft, operational rigor, and user empathy.
  • Build talent density within the team by hiring and developing individuals with strong product acumen and talent domain expertise.
