About The Position

Directs a comprehensive product strategy from product conception and definition through end of life. Functions as a central resource with design, process, manufacturing, quality, test, marketing, and distribution as the product(s) and/or product line(s) move through their lifecycle. Formulates and executes long-term roadmaps for cost/profit control. Promotes use of new technologies and industry-leading trends. Directs those involved in the design, modification, and evaluation of all phases of a specific product or group of products. Involvement lasts throughout all stages of a product’s lifecycle including modifications, upgrades, and maintenance of the product or product line. The Senior Director of Product Management is responsible for defining and driving product strategy, roadmap development, and market requirements for Qualcomm’s Datacenter Networking products. This role serves as the bridge between customers, engineering, sales, and executive leadership to ensure products address market needs, achieve business objectives, and maintain competitive differentiation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related technical field.
  • 10+ years of Product Management or related work experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • 15+ years of technical and product management experience of which minimum 10 in product management
  • Excellent understanding of Datacenter and AI Datacenter architectures, networking and trends impacting Electrical and Optical Connectivity
  • Excellent understanding of Connectivity Technologies and Ecosystem – Optical and Electrical
  • Deep understanding of Networking and NPO/CPO technologies would be an asset

  • Advanced technical degree and/or MBA preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and execution of the company's product strategy, aligning product investments with business objectives and market opportunities.
  • Define and drive the product roadmap for assigned product lines, balancing customer requirements, market trends, technical innovation, and business priorities.
  • Develop comprehensive market requirements and product requirements documents (MRDs/PRDs) based on customer insights, market analysis, and competitive intelligence.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, OEMs, partners, and industry influencers to understand current challenges and anticipate future needs.
  • Conduct ongoing competitive analysis, including product capabilities, pricing, positioning, and go-to-market strategies, and develop plans to strengthen competitive differentiation.
  • Identify new market opportunities and recommend product enhancements, new product introductions, or portfolio investments to drive revenue growth and market share expansion.
  • Partner closely with Engineering and Program Management teams to translate market requirements into product specifications and ensure successful product delivery.
  • Lead cross-functional alignment across Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Customer Support to ensure product success throughout the lifecycle.
  • Support product launches by defining positioning, value propositions, pricing recommendations, and customer-facing messaging.
  • Track product performance, customer adoption, and market feedback, leveraging data-driven insights to refine product strategy and roadmap priorities.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer within the organization, ensuring that product decisions are grounded in market needs and customer value.
