About The Position

The Senior Director, Product Management role is on Capital One’s AirKey team within the Emerging Payments & AirKey group. AirKey is a new authentication method that turns a payment card into a hardware authenticator, with the potential to reduce fraud and increase customer engagement for banks and other third parties. The team is building a commercial business around proprietary technology developed and patented by Capital One.

The role leads a team of product managers and partners closely with technology teams to shape the strategy and implementation of AirKey with commercial partners. The product roadmap is determined using feedback and analysis from internal and external partners. The role applies Capital One’s product framework: human-centered customer focus, business focus and execution, technology-driven solutions, integrated problem solving, and transformational leadership.

The position is eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives. Capital One offers a comprehensive set of health, financial, and other benefits; eligibility varies by employment status and management level.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in any field.
• At least 7 years of Product Management experience.

Nice To Haves

• Experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer-facing digital products.
• Previous experience building products in 0-to-1 product spaces.
• Previous experience in monetization and/or enterprise B2B software.
• Experience leading and building teams of product managers.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of product managers.
• Work closely with technology teams on AirKey strategy and implementation with commercial partners.
• Determine the product roadmap based on feedback and analysis from internal and external partners.
• Lead cross-functional teams to solve customer problems and drive organizational alignment.
