About The Position

Providence is seeking a philanthropy leader to help plan a statewide fundraising campaign for Providence Oregon. The Senior Director will work in tandem with the Foundations' Chief Philanthropy Officer, the Executive Director of Philanthropy for Providence of Oregon, Major Gift Officers, and ministry-level Executive Director Foundation leaders. The role includes developing regional cases for giving that build on the momentum of Phil and Penny Knights’ $1.1 billion investment in Providence St. Vincent. The position focuses on identifying and cultivating donors, especially prospects with principal-gift capacity of $1 million or more, and building a strong, long-term donor pipeline. The Senior Director will contribute to major and principal gift strategies, campaign development and implementation, and special projects including feasibility studies, grateful patient programs, and stewardship. The role also supports priority fundraising at St. Vincent Hospital, develops relationships across clinical and executive teams, and mentors development officers. This is a leadership role with a hybrid schedule of four days onsite and one day remote. Leaders must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the ministry or service area they support and lead. The position may be eligible for incentive compensation and benefits; compensation will depend on qualifications, experience, organizational alignment, and the hiring department's approved budget.
