Senior Director, Ops Engineering, Facilities Management and Support

The Head of Dream Fulfillment Center (DFC) Ops Engineering, Facilities and Support is responsible for leading the team that brings to life the technologies and infrastructure that enable the ‘closet in the cloud’. This role will be pivotal to the ongoing success of RTR as they optimize the design of their facilities and leverage proprietary technologies to offer a truly endless assortment of inventory. The Head of DFC Ops Engineering will be responsible for the layout and design of existing and future facilities, ensuring associate safety, sustainability, quality of garment care, and cost efficiency. They will also oversee the construction effort of the next generation of RTR DFC design and continue to position RTR as a leader in the sharing economy.

• Own optimizations of the layout and design of RTR's existing facilities and future facilities
• Create a best in class approach to DFC design related aspects such as associate safety, sustainability, quality of garment care, density of cube, and cost of throughput
• Stay updated with the latest technologies in garment conveyance, cleaning & repair, and tracking to ensure a best in class and iterative approach
• Develop a deep understanding of RTR's reverse logistics technology and ensure inventory accuracy through successful storage and tracking methodology
• Partner with internal or external real estate partners, hire and manage general contractors, and oversee the construction effort of the next generation of RTR DFC design
• Build a robust function that combines existing and newly developed technologies to position RTR as a leader in the sharing economy

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electric or civil engineering
• Experience in optimizing layout and design of facilities
• Knowledge of garment conveyance, cleaning, repair, and tracking technologies
• Familiarity with reverse logistics technology and inventory management systems
• Experience in partnering with real estate partners and managing construction efforts
• Strong understanding of associate safety, sustainability, and quality of garment care
• Ability to develop and implement innovative solutions for DFC design
• Strong project management and leadership skills
• Knowledge of the sharing economy and ability to leverage technology for business growth
