Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of security concepts, principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Thorough knowledge of state and federal laws.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English.
  • Well organized and demonstrated strong problem-solving skills.
  • Effective leadership, supervisory, and management skills.
  • Budgeting and analytical skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, management, and staff.
  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Minimum five years security, military, or police management experience preferred.
  • Minimum of two years’ supervisory experience preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • College course work in criminology preferred.
  • Certified CPR, First Aid, and AED instructor training preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the overall operation of the Company's security programs.
  • Provide a safe and secure hotel environment for all guests and employees through effective management of security personnel.
  • Recommend and administer security functions, policies, and procedures.
  • Oversee investigations and monitor all initial security reports.
  • Develop, monitor, and enforce property security policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Responsible for the recruitment, training, scheduling, supervision, and performance of property security personnel.
  • Ensure department compliance with Fontainebleau Miami Beach policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Schedule labor force and assign work for efficient use of equipment and personnel.
  • Maintain a working relationship with local, municipal, and governmental law enforcement agencies, insurance carriers, etc.
  • Prepare and oversee the department's financial goals.
