About The Position

For 130 years, Episcopal Homes of Minnesota has proudly served seniors in St. Paul’s Midway neighborhood. Our vibrant campus offers Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, Skilled Nursing, and Hospice services. Residents enjoy access to amenities including a fitness center, pool, pub, theater, and gourmet dining. We are currently hiring a Senior Director of Operations to provide strategic and operational leadership across our continuum of care. This executive leadership role is responsible for overseeing skilled nursing, assisted living, memory care, therapy services, culinary operations, and clinical support services while driving operational excellence, financial performance, regulatory compliance, and exceptional resident experiences throughout the organization.

Requirements

  • Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) and Licensed Assisted Living Director (LALD) in the State of Minnesota.
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in senior living, healthcare operations, post-acute care, or multi-site healthcare management.
  • Demonstrated success leading large interdisciplinary teams and multiple operating units.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, labor performance, and operational analytics.
  • Experience leading organizational change, operational integration, and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to resident-centered care and service excellence.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience overseeing skilled nursing, assisted living, therapy, culinary, and hospitality operations within a senior living continuum.
  • Experience supporting growth initiatives, acquisitions, integrations, or organizational transformation efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with executive leadership to establish and execute organizational strategy, operational priorities, and long-term growth initiatives.
  • Provide leadership across skilled nursing, assisted living, memory care, therapy services, culinary operations, and clinical support functions.
  • Develop and implement operational structures that improve consistency, accountability, and collaboration across departments.
  • Drive initiatives focused on quality outcomes, resident satisfaction, employee engagement, operational excellence, and financial sustainability.
  • Identify opportunities for growth, service line expansion, operational efficiencies, and innovation.
  • Establish operational dashboards and key performance indicators related to quality, labor, occupancy, financial performance, and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and business planning processes for operational divisions.
  • Analyze operational and financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure readiness for surveys, audits, regulatory compliance reviews, and risk management initiatives.
  • Partner with clinical leadership to maintain exceptional resident care outcomes and quality standards.
  • Promote a resident-centered culture focused on dignity, engagement, hospitality, and service excellence.
  • Lead initiatives that improve care coordination, dining services, therapy outcomes, and overall quality of life.
  • Provide strategic oversight of culinary and hospitality operations, including dining quality, customer service, staffing models, and sanitation standards.
  • Develop and mentor operational leaders while fostering a culture of collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with Human Resources on recruitment, retention, workforce development, and succession planning.
  • Oversee labor management, expense control, occupancy optimization, revenue growth, and operational financial performance.
  • Collaborate with finance leadership to develop sustainable operational and capital plans.
  • Evaluate vendor relationships, operational contracts, and partnership opportunities to maximize value and service delivery.
