About The Position

The Senior Director of Merchandising, Fresh Categories is responsible for the Deli, Produce, Meat, and Seafood departments. They provide leadership and direction for merchandisers in each of these areas and work collaboratively with store management to ensure the success of those departments.

Requirements

Minimum of 10 years of grocery industry experience.
Minimum of 5 years of experience with a multi-unit retailer
Minimum 5 years of leadership experience
Previous accountability for financial results including sales, margin, and shrink
Strong written and verbal communications skills.
Proficiency with all Microsoft office applications.

Experience in food commissary production and distribution logistics

Responsibilities

Accountable for the overall profitability of the areas assigned.
Responsible for business planning in those areas including goal setting, project sponsorship, team resource allocation, and budgeting.
Represents PCC in distributor and key vendor negotiations.
Leads private label development for these departments.
Develops and assures implementation of merchandising standards.
Oversees quality control of products and programs in these areas.
Provides leadership, direction, mentoring, and development for team.
Drives promotional activity and ad planning.
Performs other tasks and duties as assigned.
