Temple University's Lewis Katz School of Medicine is seeking an entrepreneurial, motivated, and results-driven professional with proven experience in cultivating, securing, and stewarding major and principal level gifts. This role is part of a high-achieving team and will work in conjunction with Podiatry, Pharmacy, and Dentistry to fundraise towards Temple University’s upcoming capital campaign. The position offers an exceptional opportunity for an accomplished major/principal gifts officer to lead and manage a team of frontline fundraisers. The Sr. Director of Development will partner with School leadership, advancement colleagues, and stakeholders across the School, University, and Temple University Hospital (TUH) to secure philanthropic support for medical education, scientific research, patient care, and community service. This role is on the ground floor of a historic comprehensive campaign at a vibrant, world-class academic R1 research institution. The ideal candidate will be highly energetic, driven, organized, intellectually curious, and enthusiastic, with a track record of building relationships, establishing trust, and facilitating meaningful donor-centric giving opportunities and partnerships. The successful candidate will work collaboratively and strategically, demonstrate good judgment, and apply principles, ethics, and best practices of successful fundraising in a complex organization. The Lewis Katz School of Medicine, founded in 1901, has a national reputation for training outstanding clinicians and biomedical scientists and serves a diverse patient population at TUH, its chief clinical training site.
