Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in engineering, preferably in the mechanical or civil engineering discipline.
  • Minimum five years of leadership experience in facility operations, maintenance, custodial, grounds maintenance, and pest management.
  • At least three years of business management experience, including profit and loss responsibility and budgeting.
  • Knowledge of planning, purchasing, and project management.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, effectively balancing multiple concurrent assignments, flexible with job duties and scope of work.
  • Detail-oriented, self-starter, analytical, enthusiastic, energized, requires little supervision, proactive manager.
  • Prioritizes and plans work activities, uses time efficiently, and develops realistic action plans.
  • Computer literacy, including word processing, spreadsheet, Internet, and presentation software applications.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and to work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to obtain security clearances when required.
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license and maintain dependable transportation.
  • Must be able to travel to designated Goodwill of North Georgia and contracting locations as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret contracts, correspondence, proposals, general business documents and journals, professional journals, technical procedures, and government regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Researching and locating Total Facility Management contracts in Federal, State, and commercial markets, with an emphasis on the Federal Government market through the Ability One program.
  • Preparing and submitting Sources Sought Notices through the Ability One process, Requests for Quotations, and Requests for Information documents.
  • Performing market research and analyzing opportunities for feasibility and risk.
  • Coordinating in-house and consultant inputs for proposal documents.
  • Performing quality checks to ensure all submissions meet established guidelines and requirements.
  • Conducting "debrief" sessions after each submittal and maintaining a database of "lessons learned".
  • Organizing and overseeing proposal teams that will prepare and submit SSN’s, RFQ’s, and RFI’s.
  • Managing the start-up of the operation and providing management oversight after the contract becomes operational.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
