About The Position

The Senior Director, New Payments Product Development leads the team responsible for developing the bank’s next generation digital payment products. This includes emerging product areas such as Open Banking, Agentic Commerce, tokenized money, etc. The role is hands-on: the Senior Director leads a small team of product professionals, partners with Lines of Business as the primary customers of the products being developed and works directly with Technology & Operations to build and deliver. The ideal candidate combines digital product leadership with ability to operate effectively across a complex, multi-disciplinary, matrixed organization.

  • 2+ years directly managing product managers, including hiring, performance management, and developing junior PMs into senior roles.
  • Experience setting product vision/roadmaps for multi-person teams, holding them accountable to outcomes, not just output.
  • Effective communication skills with ability to seamlessly shift between executive-level narratives and detailed working sessions and experience crafting compelling product stories to secure investments.
  • Strong customer and data orientation with deep curiosity and experience leveraging both qualitative insights and quantitative data to inform decision-making.
  • Demonstrated comfort with ambiguity, ability to connect product decisions to business/customer value, and capability to influence without authority.
