About The Position

In Global Commercial Strategy (GCS), we translate the science of R&D into value for patients and Pfizer - from early development through launch, growth, and lifecycle. Migraine is a chronic, often debilitating disease that can significantly impact a person's ability to work, care for family, and fully participate in everyday life. As the migraine treatment landscape evolves from simply managing acute symptoms to preventing disease burden, the Migraine franchise is uniquely positioned to help more patients achieve meaningful relief through innovative oral CGRP therapies. The business is projected to have strong growth over the next few years reaching global peak revenues of over $3B.

Requirements

  • Applicant must have a bachelor's degree with at least 12 years of experience; OR a master's degree with at least 10 years of experience; OR a PhD with 7+ years of experience.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences commercial roles, with direct exposure to lifecycle management, competitive intelligence, or franchise strategy.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives and influencing senior stakeholders in matrixed environments without direct authority.
  • Strong analytical and strategic skills, with the ability to synthesize competitive, scientific, and market signals into clear implications and competitive response plans.
  • Experience with long-range forecasting, evidence generation planning, or OP-cycle guidance.
  • Strong communication, executive presence, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong work ethic and proven track record of delivering high quality within timelines.
  • Candidates must be authorized to be employed in the U.S. by any employer.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Migraine, Neurology, or other complex specialty therapeutic areas.
  • Experience leading a Rapid Response or competitive response capability.
  • Experience partnering with Medical, H&V, Policy and/or Communications teams on market shaping strategy.
  • Comfort working in an AI-enabled or AI-augmented environment; experience using AI tools to support strategy, synthesis, or analysis is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead lifecycle strategic planning and assessments across current and future Migraine indications integrating evidence generation, regulatory, and market dynamics into a coherent long-range plan.
  • Translate lifecycle priorities into clear recommendations and decision materials for franchise leadership and governance forums.
  • Lead insight generation, develop launch strategies and long-range forecasts for all lifecycle launches, including QD, MM, FTC and Chronic
  • Serve as CI Lead for the Migraine Franchise, owning monitoring and generation of competitive insights and their strategic implications.
  • Drive competitive scenario planning and war-game differentiation strategies across the full GTM model to proactively address competitor moves, pipeline developments, new data/publications, and market shifts.
  • Lead the Rapid Response Team, ensuring the franchise can react quickly and coherently to competitive events.
  • Partner with Medical Affairs, H&V and Clinical Development to shape evidence generation priorities that support lifecycle and competitive positioning goals.
  • Have a thorough understanding of our data and identify data gaps and opportunities in close partnership with Regional/US commercial teams to improve value proposition and recommendations
  • Own OP long-range forecast (LRF) assumptions and provide guidance to regional teams/markets and cross-functional partners.
  • Ensure forecast assumptions reflect the latest competitive intelligence and lifecycle plan updates.
  • Lead market shaping strategy and plan development for the Migraine Franchise, aligning closely with commercial, medical, policy and communications colleagues.
  • Liaise with the Communications team on internal and external communications.
  • Support global performance reviews and reporting for the Migraine Franchise, as needed.
