About The Position

Serves as a senior leader of the Department of Marketing. Leads marketing efforts that drive measurable results for the business. Works with leaders across Mayo Clinic and marketing staff to drive the development of and management of marketing activities, with a focus on return on investment. Attracts, develops and retains top talent across all teams that is nimble, responsive to the market and continuously learning. Provides leadership, mentorship, and career development to staff, and exhibits Mayo's leadership model capabilities in inspiring values, engaging colleagues, bold and forward thinking, and driving results. Monitors industry best practices and makes recommendations for continuous improvement. Fosters an environment in which leading-edge developments and best practices are explored, adopted, and adapted for Mayo Clinic. Demonstrates willingness and ability to manage change cross functionally. Coordinates and collaborates extensively across Mayo Clinic to ensure positive results. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 15 years of demonstrated related experience.
  • Minimum five years of experience leading and managing high-performing teams.
  • Ability to work independently, influence, and communicate across all levels of management in both marketing and cross-functional teams.
  • Must possess strong leadership, business, analytical, oral and written communication, presentation, and superior interpersonal skills to facilitate effective relationships both within and outside of Mayo Clinic.
  • Solid organizational and project management skills.
  • Strategic judgment.
  • Track record in building positive, cross-functional relationships.
  • Must possess political savvy and the ability to function effectively in a complex and often ambiguous environment, with consensus-style operation that expects and promotes teamwork.
  • Must have experience managing and leading teams.
