About The Position

Regeneron is looking for a Senior Director of U.S. Market Access Strategy to lead solid tumor indications within the Oncology therapeutic area. This individual must be able to develop and implement strategies and tactics to secure and maintain optimal reimbursement and sustainable market access for current and future solid tumor oncology assets. This individual will also be expected to lead a cross-functional leadership team in executing the holistic market access strategy, requiring the ability to lead without authority and navigate complex matrix organizations. Major responsibilities include but are not limited to pipeline and new indications development, price and contracting strategy, payer value proposition development, payer positioning and message development, customer engagement pull-through tactics, stakeholder engagement planning, patient support services coordination, HEOR initiatives, and public affairs alignment. Duties will include working closely with the Head of Global/US Market Access Oncology; Oncology Brand Team business partners and cross-functional staff including sales and field reimbursement leadership, patient support services, health economics & outcomes, medical and insights and analytics, trade, account management and new product development to ensure market access strategic alignment with projects and to gain input on access work-streams. Duties also include working with our market access strategy counterparts across Regeneron brands.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree Minimum
  • 13+ years of progressive industry relevant professional experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in a market access functional role, payer account management, brand marketing, field sales/reimbursement, or HEOR is preferred.
  • 3+ years of market access strategy and payer marketing experience is preferred.
  • Must have strong knowledge of the market access landscape and current trends
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to influence / lobby internal and affiliate decision-makers
  • Very good oral and written communication skills needed
  • Excellent clinical, financial, and analytical skills and acumen essential

Nice To Haves

  • MBA/MHA or other graduate level program such as PharmD preferred
  • Direct experience leading cross-functional teams is highly desirable
  • Experience in oncology is preferred
  • Experience in global and international strategy is helpful
  • Knowledge of contract strategy and pull through is a plus
  • Experience defining cross functional ways of working to establish key strategic imperatives preferred

Responsibilities

  • Developing, implementing and/or aligning the annual strategic and tactical business plan
  • Implementing both short-term and long-term access strategies and tactics
  • Leading the cross functional Core Leadership Team who is accountable for executing market access strategies and workstreams
  • Developing the payer value story and driving execution of this core narrative across channels
  • Monitoring and preparing for evolving competitive market landscape and its impact on access strategy
  • Supporting the development of the overall market access strategy team
  • Developing field-level strategies to enhance local business planning and execution effectiveness
  • Managing promotional budgets, and development of metrics to measure ROI against key initiatives
  • Managing internal processes such as promotional review committee submissions, and customer insight coordination.
  • Responsible for directing and monitoring third party agencies and vendors
