Requirements
- 8+ years of healthcare/laboratory leadership experience.
- Experience leading managers or other leaders.
- Clinical laboratory operations and bench work experience.
- Strong CAP/CLIA accreditation experience.
- Proficiency testing oversight experience.
- Experience managing credentialed medical laboratory staff.
- Experience with laboratory test methodology evaluation.
- Large healthcare/enterprise experience.
- Master's degree in Laboratory Science, Healthcare, Operations, Leadership, or related field.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with a large healthcare system such as Emory Healthcare.
Responsibilities
- Lead laboratory managers and multiple clinical laboratory teams.
- Oversee daily laboratory operations, staffing, budgets, and performance.
- Manage CAP/CLIA accreditation and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee proficiency testing, quality assurance, and process improvement.
- Maintain clinical laboratory testing competency and training standards.
- Evaluate laboratory testing methodologies, processes, and technology.
- Partner with labor management, healthcare teams, and public health agencies.
- Lead regional and national laboratory initiatives and strategic projects.
