About The Position

Rhoads Industries is seeking a Senior Director of Information Technology (IT) to join their dynamic, fast-paced, and growing team. This leadership role is responsible for establishing and leading Rhoads’ enterprise-wide technology vision, strategy, cybersecurity posture, and digital transformation initiatives. The Senior Director of IT oversees all aspects of IT operations, infrastructure, enterprise systems, cybersecurity, governance, and technology planning to ensure scalable, secure, and efficient support of business objectives. This individual will serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership, driving innovation, operational excellence, and long-term technology investments that support organizational growth, compliance, and competitive advantage. The role is responsible for aligning technology initiatives with corporate strategy while fostering a high-performing IT organization capable of supporting complex operational environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • 12–15+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, including senior leadership or executive-level responsibility.
  • Proven experience leading enterprise IT strategy, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise systems, cloud technologies, cybersecurity frameworks, and IT governance.
  • Demonstrated experience managing large-scale budgets, strategic initiatives, and organizational change.
  • Strong executive presence with exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • CISSP, CISM. PMP, ITIL, Microsoft, Cisco, AWS, or other relevant enterprise certifications.
  • Experience leading IT organizations within manufacturing, industrial, defense, maritime, or government contracting environments strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the organization’s long-term IT and digital transformation strategy aligned with business goals.
  • Serve as a key member of the leadership team, advising executives on technology risks, opportunities, investments, and innovation.
  • Lead enterprise technology planning, governance, and modernization initiatives across all business functions.
  • Establish IT performance metrics, KPIs, and strategic roadmaps to drive operational effectiveness and scalability.
  • Build and lead a high-performing IT organization focused on service delivery, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive organizational change management related to technology implementations and process improvements.
  • Provide executive oversight of cybersecurity strategy, governance, and risk management programs.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory, contractual, and industry cybersecurity requirements, including NIST, CMMC, DFARS, and other applicable standards.
  • Lead enterprise-wide business continuity, disaster recovery, and incident response planning.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and external auditors to maintain audit readiness and compliance integrity.
  • Oversee policies related to data governance, access management, and information security.
  • Direct the management and optimization of enterprise infrastructure, cloud environments, networking, telecommunications, and enterprise applications.
  • Oversee ERP, HRIS, manufacturing, and operational technology systems to ensure business continuity and operational efficiency.
  • Evaluate and implement emerging technologies that enhance organizational capability, automation, and scalability.
  • Ensure technology architecture supports future growth, acquisitions, and operational demands.
  • Develop and manage enterprise IT budgets, capital planning, forecasting, and technology investment strategies.
  • Lead vendor selection, contract negotiations, and strategic technology partnerships.
  • Optimize IT organizational structure, resource allocation, and operational processes.
  • Establish service delivery standards and ensure high levels of end-user satisfaction and operational uptime.
  • Collaborate with operations, finance, HR, legal, contracts, security, and executive leadership to align technology solutions with business needs.
  • Support operational environments including production, manufacturing, and government contracting activities.
  • Champion innovation and data-driven decision-making across the organization.
