Docker is seeking a Senior Director to lead its Information Technology Department during a period of rapid business scaling. The ideal candidate will be a strategically focused IT leader who is also willing to address tactical operational challenges. This individual should be technically proficient with a strong understanding of leveraging technology to drive organizational impact. Critical to this role is experience with modern SaaS/cloud-based infrastructures, including implementing and scaling application ecosystems with proactive strategies and roadmaps. The Senior Director of IT will report to the SVP of Central Operations & Systems. This role is responsible for building a customer-obsessed team that provides technical tools to Docker. Key responsibilities include growing the foundations for enterprise-wide help desk services, application management, device lifecycle logistics, and contributing to major cross-Docker initiatives within the Central Operations and Systems team. The position will emphasize operational transparency by developing workflows that provide real-time metrics on service health. This people manager will establish key performance indicators for IT services and team members that align with Docker's strategic goals. As a service owner, they will create service level agreements to meet the productivity needs of all IT customers. This role is highly cross-functional. The Central Operations and Systems team manages internal platforms and systems that define the employee experience for all Dockhands, encompassing endpoints, infrastructure, SaaS vendors, and custom tooling. They are responsible for defining "how Docker does Docker".
