About The Position

McCormick is seeking a Senior Director, Human Relations to join their team at the Global Headquarters in Hunt Valley, Maryland. This role is hybrid eligible, requiring 50% onsite presence per month. The Senior Director will lead the strategic HR direction for an assigned group or function, acting as the primary HR Business Partner to senior leaders. This role involves providing end-to-end Human Relations leadership, serving as a trusted strategic advisor, and designing/implementing programs to advance business objectives. Key accountabilities include developing and executing integrated HR and business plans, covering areas such as employee and labor relations, talent acquisition and management, leadership coaching, performance management, organizational effectiveness, change management, compensation, regulatory compliance, and People Support programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or similar field of study.
  • 15+ years of progressive plant (CPG/FMCG) and business unit HR experience.
  • 7+ years in Senior HR leadership roles.
  • Networking capabilities, influencing others, clear and concise communication skills, ability to build relationships and value people.
  • Strategic Leadership, Critical, Risk Taking/Innovation, Personal/Team Leadership skills are critical.
  • Experience interacting outside of the business unit within the function and as a committee member on a regular basis.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA preferred.
  • Industry expertise preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership and direction for assigned groups or functions within the business unit, developing programs and systems to enhance organizational capabilities and accelerate business results.
  • Responsible for all facets of HR functional strategy implementation, including talent and performance management, compensation management, recruiting and staffing, communication, and employee and labor relations.
  • Partners with leadership teams to establish and implement functional strategy and direction, focusing on organizational capability development aligned with enterprise priorities.
  • Provides leadership to management teams to identify functional and organizational opportunities related to human resource policies, procedures, and programs, influencing senior leaders.
  • Responsible for the development of direct reports.
