About The Position

ST Engineering iDirect is seeking a transformational HR Senior Director to lead global human resources strategy across a complex, evolving business environment. This role is not a maintenance HR position, it is a turnaround and integration leadership role requiring a strong operator who can stabilize, align, and modernize the workforce. As a leader in satellite communications, ST Engineering iDirect's groundbreaking technology empowers customers to grow, innovate, and transform their networks. The selected leader will serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and executive leadership team, driving organizational effectiveness, workforce transformation, and global HR integration across the U.S. and Europe.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 12 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership capacity
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices and applicable employment laws
  • Demonstrated experience in organizational transformation, restructuring, and mergers & acquisitions
  • Working knowledge of HR practices across U.S., Europe, and Asia, including experience with unions and works councils
  • Proven leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong expertise in talent assessment, succession planning, and workforce development strategies
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and build relationships at all organizational levels
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities effectively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic HR partner to executive leadership, develop and execute HR strategy aligned to business objectives, and lead/mentor a global HR team across the U.S. and Europe.
  • Oversee the full HR lifecycle including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compensation & benefits, compliance, reporting, and ensure alignment with corporate shared services.
  • Lead organizational restructuring and change management, support mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, and operate effectively in evolving or contracting environments.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. employment laws and European labor frameworks (including works partnering with international stakeholders).
  • Drive engagement, leadership development, succession planning, workforce development, and serve as an employee advocate and culture leader.
  • Support HRIS implementations and optimization, manage workforce data (hiring, terminations, transfers, promotions), and oversee advanced reporting and analytics.
  • Foster an inclusive culture, implement engagement initiatives, oversee training and career development, manage employee relations (investigations, coaching, exit processes), and model leadership frameworks.
  • Oversee benefits programs including 401(k), open enrollment, leave management, ensure compliance with FMLA and Americans with Disabilities Act Amended Act (ADAAA), and manage STD/LTD programs.
  • Manage workers’ compensation programs, return-to-work coordination, accommodations, legal matters, and ADAAA-aligned processes.
  • Lead leadership development, succession planning, performance management, and enterprise-wide training initiatives.
  • Oversee compliance training programs, contract labor management, and ensure completion tracking and reporting.
  • Develop and drive corporate social responsibility initiatives and community engagement aligned with leadership vision.
  • Manage pay adjustments and compensation initiatives in partnership with the Center of Excellence.
  • Ensure effective internal communications, including oversight of company messaging, social media, and digital platforms.
