About The Position

We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and influential Senior Director, Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders across OC Sports & Entertainment (OCSE). In this key leadership role, you will drive integrated people strategies that support business performance, strengthen organizational culture, and enhance the team member experience across a dynamic portfolio of sports and entertainment operations. This position plays a critical role in supporting OCVIBE, OCSE’s flagship 100-acre mixed-use entertainment district currently under development in Anaheim’s Platinum Triangle. The Senior Director, HRBP will partner closely with Enterprise HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) on Talent Management, Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, DEI, and Team Member Relations initiatives to deliver aligned and scalable HR solutions that meet evolving business needs. The ideal candidate brings strong business acumen, strategic influence, and the ability to integrate enterprise HR programs into practical, people-centered solutions for leaders and teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Organizational Development, or related field
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 5 years in a senior HRBP or strategic HR leadership role supporting executives or complex business units
  • Broad HR expertise across talent management, organizational development, compensation, team member relations, learning and development, DEI, and talent acquisition
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and drive organizational effectiveness in dynamic, fast-paced environments
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to align people strategies to operational and organizational goals
  • Experience partnering with HR Centers of Excellence to implement enterprise-wide people programs and initiatives
  • Excellent coaching, facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence without direct authority
  • Proven success leading change initiatives and navigating complex organizational environments
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday) and workforce analytics tools
  • 10+ Year Experience

  • Experience within sports, entertainment, hospitality, retail, real estate development, or other high-profile, customer-focused industries preferred
  • Professional HR certifications (SPHR, SHRM-SCP, CCP, or related certifications) are a plus

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to a portfolio of senior OCSE leaders, aligning people strategies with business objectives and organizational priorities
  • Advise leaders on organizational design, workforce planning, team effectiveness, succession planning, and change management initiatives
  • Partner with Enterprise HR COEs to deliver integrated solutions across talent management, compensation, learning and development, DEI, talent acquisition, team member engagement, and performance management
  • Translate business needs into actionable people strategies that support growth, operational excellence, and organizational effectiveness
  • Use data, analytics, workforce insights, and industry trends to influence decisions related to talent, engagement, retention, and organizational health
  • Support and reinforce organizational culture initiatives, ensuring company values and leadership behaviors are consistently demonstrated throughout the organization
  • Partner with leaders to identify talent gaps, succession needs, and development opportunities
  • Support performance management and talent review processes, ensuring consistency and alignment across business units
  • Collaborate with Learning & Development to identify capability-building opportunities and leadership development priorities
  • Coach leaders on team member development, feedback, recognition, team dynamics, and organizational effectiveness
  • Partner with Enterprise Total Rewards to support compensation planning, pay practices, performance-based rewards, and market competitiveness
  • Provide consultation and guidance to leaders regarding promotions, organizational changes, retention strategies, and compensation-related decisions in alignment with enterprise philosophy and practices
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition partners on workforce planning, hiring strategies, and talent needs to support business growth and operational priorities
  • Support communication and change management efforts related to compensation cycles, performance processes, and enterprise people programs
  • Partner with DEI and leadership teams to help foster an inclusive, engaging, and high-performing work environment
  • Support initiatives that enhance team member engagement, belonging, leadership effectiveness, and workplace culture
  • Serve as a resource and advisor to leaders navigating complex team member matters in partnership with Team Member Relations, and Legal
  • Help drive adoption and execution of enterprise HR initiatives while ensuring alignment to the unique needs of OCSE
  • Serve as a bridge between OCSE priorities and enterprise HR strategy, ensuring seamless execution of key people initiatives
  • Influence enterprise HR initiatives by representing business unit perspectives and participating in cross-functional working groups and strategic planning efforts
  • Build strong relationships across HR functions and business leadership teams to promote collaboration, consistency, and operational excellence
  • Balance long-term strategic priorities with hands-on execution in a fast-paced, high-profile environment
