About The Position

Oura is seeking a Senior Director, Healthcare Partnerships to develop and scale partnerships with health plans, health systems, and virtual care companies. This is a strategic role for a commercially minded individual who can identify healthcare buyer needs, shape solutions with internal teams and partners, and build scalable commercial programs. The role involves owning the entire partnership journey from identification and qualification to contracting, implementation, launch, value demonstration, and expansion. The ideal candidate will be comfortable engaging with both executives and internal teams.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in digital health, healthcare technology, virtual care, healthcare services, or a closely related field, including substantial experience in enterprise partnerships or business development.
  • Extensive, first-hand experience commercializing disease management, connected care, remote monitoring, or wearable-enabled programs.
  • Understanding of how buying decisions are made across health plans, health systems, provider groups, and virtual care companies.
  • Ability to develop a compelling narrative for different audiences (CMO, CFO, procurement, product leader, care operations).
  • Proven track record of taking an early pilot through implementation, measurement, renewal, and expansion.
  • Thoughtful perspective on how wearable technology and continuous physiological and behavioral data can improve healthcare delivery.
  • Past experience at a company with evolving priorities and constrained resources.
  • Demonstrated record of closing complex healthcare partnerships and ensuring their post-signature success.
  • Experience building a new market, category, product, or partnership motion where the offering, buyer, pricing, or proof of value was not fully defined.
  • Judgment to distinguish lasting commercial opportunities and persistence to turn ambiguous feedback into focused commercial and product strategy.
  • Strong fluency in healthcare economics and buyer priorities (member/patient engagement, care management, utilization, total cost of care, reimbursement, ROI).
  • Experience working with clinical, product, engineering, legal, privacy, implementation, and outcomes teams.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and executive communication skills.
  • Highly accountable, analytical, and hands-on operating style; comfortable creating strategy and doing the work to test it.

Responsibilities

  • Market development: Define and refine Oura’s ideal customer profiles across health plans, health systems, and virtual care companies. Engage with enterprise healthcare prospects to demonstrate how Oura's signals can improve patient engagement, care delivery, health outcomes, patient satisfaction, and reduce costs. Map the healthcare buying environment, including stakeholders and budget/business case. Translate market feedback into recommendations on program packaging, pricing, product priorities, and evidence requirements. Balance near-term revenue with long-term opportunities.

  • Launch programs and prove value: Partner with internal and external teams to move opportunities from concept to scaled deployment. Define success criteria including engagement, activation, clinical/behavioral outcomes, operational measures, healthcare utilization, financial impact, and partner satisfaction. Develop measurement and evidence plans. Review program performance, diagnose issues, and recommend iterations. Convert learnings into repeatable offerings, playbooks, and case studies.
  • Lead cross-functional execution and market presence: Shape Oura’s perspective on how continuous health data can improve healthcare quality, accessibility, and efficiency.
