About The Position

Revolution Medicines is a late-stage clinical oncology company developing novel targeted therapies for patients with RAS-addicted cancers. The company’s R&D pipeline comprises RAS(ON) inhibitors designed to suppress diverse oncogenic variants of RAS proteins. The company’s RAS(ON) inhibitors daraxonrasib (RMC-6236), a RAS(ON) multi-selective inhibitor; elironrasib (RMC-6291), a RAS(ON) G12C-selective inhibitor; zoldonrasib (RMC-9805), a RAS(ON) G12D-selective inhibitor; and RMC-5127, a RAS(ON) G12V-selective inhibitor, are currently in clinical development. As a new member of the Revolution Medicines team, you will join other outstanding professionals in a tireless commitment to patients with cancers harboring mutations in the RAS signaling pathway. The Opportunity: RevMed is seeking a hands-on, globally minded finance leader to help launch, operationalize, and scale finance operations across new and existing international markets. Reporting to the VP, Finance, this person will serve as the finance launch lead for new jurisdictions, the interim finance owner during the period between legal entity incorporation and local finance coverage, and a global controllership partner across accounting, reporting, controls, and business process governance.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of progressive experience in accounting, finance operations, controllership, international accounting, or related finance leadership roles with demonstrated ownership of complex global or multi-entity finance processes.
  • CPA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in a public company with SOX-controlled environment.
  • A strong business partner who can identify risks and opportunities by staying close to local teams.
  • A connector who knows when to solve an issue directly and when to bring in Technical Accounting, SEC, SOX, Tax, Treasury, Legal, or FP&A.
  • Strong project and program management skills, including the ability to manage dependencies, drive accountability, and bring structure to ambiguous situations.
  • Hands-on; willingness to execute directly when process maturity or local resourcing is limited.
  • A practical controls leader who understands public-company expectations without over-engineering.
  • A global thinker who can balance consistency, scalability, and local-market requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the finance workstream for entry into new countries and jurisdictions, from initial planning through operational go-live.
  • Serve as the U.S.-based interim finance lead for new markets after legal entity incorporation and before a local finance lead or local service provider model is fully operational (short-term).
  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve RevMed’s global finance launch playbook, including workplans, timelines, dependencies, RACI matrices, control points, templates, escalation paths, and lessons learned.
  • Lead the transition from interim U.S.-based finance support to the appropriate steady-state local, regional, or outsourced operating model.
  • Act with a global mindset by helping RevMed define, document, and govern its finance and accounting processes across international markets.
  • Assist in defining the steady-state finance operating model for each market.
  • Lead handoff to a local finance lead or approved third-party service provider.
  • Own and maintain a global inventory of core finance and accounting processes and policies.
  • Clearly define which processes/policies are global, regional, local, or outsourced, including ownership, decision rights, control expectations, and escalation paths.
  • Assist in designing and running the monthly business review process, including the financial reporting package, meeting cadence, agenda, pre-read materials, key metrics, variance analysis, action items, and follow-up.
  • Organize quarterly business certifications or sub-certifications.
  • Maintain regular communication with global business partners to identify new significant transactions, unusual contracts, changes in business activity, local regulatory developments, and areas where accounting or finance support may be needed.
  • Own the finance launch and interim operating strategy for a rolling portfolio of newly launched international entities, including operating model design, process architecture, control expectations, and cross-functional stakeholder alignment.
  • Continuously evolve scalable frameworks, playbooks, and transition criteria that ensure each new market is launched with compliant, efficient, and sustainable finance operations until the appropriate permanent local, regional, or outsourced finance structure is established.
