About The Position

The Global Director of Finance (GDOF) at Avtron Power Solutions will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, driving the company’s financial vision and strategy. This role is responsible for managing the financial health of the organization, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and fostering operational efficiency. The GDOF will provide strategic direction on all financial matters, including budgeting, forecasting, and risk management, while aligning financial goals with the company’s broader business objectives. As a trusted advisor to the VP/GM of Avtron, the will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the company and delivering sustainable growth.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 15 years in senior financial leadership roles, preferably within the manufacturing or industrial sectors.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company’s goals, ensuring long-term financial health and growth.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance with all regulatory requirements. This includes variance analyses to Budget, Forecast and Prior Year, adjusted operating income walks, supplemental data reporting, month end close, quarter reviews, orders, daily sales and weekly orders.
  • Prepare the Annual Budget and Quarterly Forecasts for Legrand; and coordinating with all key support functions including operations and SG&A department heads.
  • The role will be a key contributor in financial analytics and driving key processes within the organization including price optimization, working capital management, cost reduction programs and supporting the SIOP process.
  • Partner with GM and Business Leadership to drive cost reduction and working capital initiatives, initiate such discussions with foresight of business conditions.
  • Partner with FP&A Divisional and Regional Leadership to meet timelines, reviews, and deliverables of the P&L and working capital forecast and results.
  • This position will also assist in streamlining processes and implementing tools to drive effective business decisions.
  • Drive transparency of financial results and outlook throughout the matrix organization, including understanding and communicating reasons for variance to plan/budget.
  • Support and consistently communicate with the GM and Business Leadership.
  • Understand operational accounting elements such as absorption costing, production expenses, labor needs, inflation, productivity projects and cost reduction planning, inventory connectivity to the P&L and SIOP cycles.
  • Identify and develop tools to manage the business, provide visibility into key metrics and drive operating performance.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks, implementing robust internal controls.
  • Lead and mentor the finance and accounting teams, fostering a culture of high performance.
  • Collaborate with the executive team and Legrand Leadership to provide financial insights and recommendations.
  • Ensure Finance and Accounting docking with Legrand is successfully completed per predetermined schedule.
  • Provide direction, coaching and feedback to direct reports. Ensure annual performance goals are met for self and direct reports.
