The GTMC organization will help us to drive best-in-class capabilities across the board and bring value and excellence in our commercial operations. This move is a key part of the aimed modernization of Sanofi and will allow us to focus on our priorities across our products, market and pipeline through the reallocation of resources and realizing the efficiencies of removing silos that exist between our business units, avoiding the duplication and overlapping of resources, standardizing our processes and tools, operating with a One Sanofi approach to accelerate our key capabilities development, and fostering the entrepreneurial spirit by speeding up the decision making. The Senior Director, Field Platforms leads the Field Platforms Team within NA Customer Facing Operations, serves as Business Owner of Sanofi's commercial CRM ecosystem (OneCRM, VeevaAlign, Smart CLM, Rep-Triggered Email, Events & Congresses) across Specialty Care, General Medicines, and Vaccines. This role drives platform strategy, field adoption, and team development while embedding AI-powered tools and automation to accelerate delivery and improve commercial outcomes. This position is a future-forward, AI-fluent leader who combines deep technical expertise with strategic vision to personalize the customer journey, elevate field CRM capabilities, and drive commercial innovation. Reporting to the NA Customer Facing Pillar Head, this leader brings both operational excellence and a growth mindset, utilizing emerging technologies to continuously modernize how our customer-facing teams engage, perform, and grow. The Field Platforms Team, part of the broader NA Customer Facing Operations team, is focused on enabling customer facing teams to drive growth through fit-for-purpose, innovative, user-friendly technology platforms. The Field Platforms Team strives to support the customer facing teams by delivering innovative technology capabilities and easy-to-use solutions that bring real value and impact to the organization. The Field Platforms is the Business Owner of the following commercial team platforms: OneCRM including Events and Congresses, Rep-triggered-email, Smart CLM, VeevaAlign.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in Biotechnology or Pharmaceuticals; Undergraduate degree, MBA preferred.
  • Veeva certification a plus
  • Experience leading and developing diverse teams across multiple functions; Demonstrated leadership ability to drive change within an organization, cultivating support and maximizing contribution from team members.
  • Demonstrated success in leading field operations or field technology work, with 5+ years in one or both areas preferred and a preference for experience in launching new system
  • Experienced in leading by influence and driving in matrix project teams and organizational set-ups.
  • Project management: ensure the correct pace of the acceleration.
  • Proven delivery of outstanding results.
  • Ability to leverage networks, to develop people, coach and give feedback, empower people.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize technical expertise to drive simplification and harmonization of the integration of one instance of Veeva in the US across Gen Meds, Specialty Care and Vaccines, partnering with Global OneCRM to leverage core functionality while advocating and delivering US-specific needs.
  • Partner with Digital, Global, Vaccines, and Specialty Care to drive the integration of the Events Harmonization Volcano Project.
  • Utilize technical expertise of Veeva to ensure smooth delivery of harmonized process and tools.
  • Develop technical specifications and business rules to advance system capabilities and innovation, and drive field efficiencies.
  • Prioritize digital projects on the team to ensure roll out of system enhancements, upgrades and new capabilities for the field, market access and relevant medical field personnel.
  • Drive platform adoption through leading-edge, practical training and communications that are rooted in the field team’s daily workflow and integrated into their broader learning curriculum.
  • Develop and Coach Field Platforms (17) Team members: Continually strengthen and upgrade capabilities to meet and exceed goals, Provide appropriate training and hands on experience to develop the team, Develop business subject matter experts for deployment and IC for key brands/franchises and sales teams to anticipate needs and recommend solutions, Support employees’ Individual Development Plans (IDPs), Develop metrics and meaningful KPIs, and generate reports where available.
