About The Position

We are searching for top talent for Director – Data Platforms. This position can be based in the following locations: Hybrid: Raritan, NJ; West Chester, PA; Mumbai, India Remote candidates in CA, NJ, and PA will be considered on a case-by-case basis and if approved by the company. While you are welcome to apply to any or all of the postings, we recommend focusing on the specific country(s) that align with your preferred location(s): US: R-076739 India: R-077611 The Leader will own the strategy and execution of a simplified enterprise-grade data platform that advances data maturity, strengthens data quality and governance, and accelerates business-unit agility. Drive a lean, federated operating model that balances centralized platform capabilities and guardrails with autonomy for business units to move quickly. The role focuses on platform simplification, automation, and enabling prioritized use cases through trusted, reusable data products.

Requirements

  • Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 15+ years of progressive IT leadership with major accountability for Data & Analytics and platform delivery in regulated industries (MedTech, life sciences, or equivalent).
  • Consistent record building and running enterprise-scale data platforms (cloud-native, Lakehouse, data mesh) and delivering shared capabilities across global organizations.
  • Hands-on and strategic mastery of cloud platforms (Azure and AWS) and modern data architectures (data Lakehouse/warehouse, feature stores, streaming, APIs).
  • Demonstrated success operationalizing federated data governance, metadata/lineage, and data quality within a product-oriented model.
  • Experience embedding AI/ML and GenAI into platform services and operations (automation, intelligent workflows, quality monitoring).
  • Leadership experience in Master Data Management and integration across ERP/CRM landscapes.
  • Strong executive presence with a history of influencing senior stakeholders in sophisticated, matrixed, global organizations.
  • Outcome-focused decision maker: prioritizes investments, defines business-aligned goals and milestones, and measures value delivery.
  • Hands-on knowledge of privacy, security, and data risk controls in regulated environments; experienced with compliance-driven controls and audits.
  • Demonstrated FinOps and cost-optimization experience for large-scale data platforms.
  • This position may require up to 20% domestic and international travel.

Responsibilities

  • Define and deliver the global roadmap for a cloud-scale, governed data platform (Lakehouse/data mesh patterns) that simplify the legacy platforms, reduces tool and pipeline redundancy and improves data maturity across MedTech.
  • Embed AI and automation across the data lifecycle (ingestion, transformation, quality monitoring, remediation and operations) to accelerate time-to-insight and reduce manual effort.
  • Scale a data-as-a-product operating model with defined ownership, SLAs, lifecycle management and measurable outcomes for curated data products.
  • Develop and mature metadata capabilities — catalog, lineage and business glossary — to improve discoverability, trust and reuse.
  • Design and implement policy-based self-service access patterns (data marketplace) that simplify consumption while implementing compliance.
  • Co-Lead the MedTech Data Office, drive federated governance and stewardship with clear enterprise policies and BU accountability; institutionalize data quality critical metrics, automated monitoring and remediation workflows.
  • Own MDM platform strategy, closely partner with BU leaders to deliver for priority domains (customer, product); harmonize entities, hierarchies and reference data.
  • Build, coach and lead a distributed team across platform engineering, and governance; partner closely with Business Units analytics, AI/ML, security, privacy and regulatory partners.
  • Lead with a product approach and focus on outcomes that directly support business units priorities.
  • Foster a culture of data literacy, pragmatic governance and continuous improvement.
