About The Position

HPS (Hardware Platform Solutions), part of Celestica, designs and delivers data center hardware for leading hyperscale and technology customers. The Senior Director serves as the single accountable technical owner of a strategic customer program, from concept through new product introduction (NPI) to volume ramp. This role reports to the VP of Operations Engineering, serves as the customer's primary technical contact, and leads a matrixed program team spanning hardware, software, systems engineering, program management, and new product development. The role also works closely with supplier development, manufacturing, and site NPI teams. The position owns integrated program delivery and phase-gate governance; establishes the customer engagement cadence; manages escalations; and leads cross-functional teams through design, resource, and schedule decisions. It defines program operating practices, including RACI, decision rights, change control, and reporting. The role brings manufacturing readiness, supplier qualification, material readiness, and line readiness into alignment with the program schedule, and reports program health to senior leaders and the customer. Success means meeting phase gates and customer milestones on plan, achieving strong first-pass yield at each build, resolving manufacturability and test findings before NPI, keeping program costs on budget, and maintaining high customer satisfaction while resolving escalations quickly. The position is remote in the United States, with travel as necessary.
