Senior Director Emergency Management and Environmental Health & Safety

About The Position

Oversees Emergency Management, Environmental Health and Safety for a large healthcare system. Develops a defensible, sustainable, and scalable Integrated Resiliency Program framework and strategy. Provides programmatic oversight of strategic and operational resiliency initiatives related to business continuity, emergency management, and the environment of care and assures integration with Disaster recovery. Directs and leads the team to design, deploy, execute and review operational resiliency processes. Processes include but not limited to: risk assessments, business impact analyses, emergency communication systems, drills and exercises, training and education, regulatory and accreditation requirements, disaster response and recovery and overall program maintenance. Leads the long-term strategic, operational and planning process, and the development of metrics to ensure that applicable enterprise strategies cascade through all operating units to facilitate integration across Sutter Health. Ensures business continuity, emergency management and environment of care programs are aligned to industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management, Disaster Management, Environmental Health and Safety, or Public Safety or equivalent education/experience.
15 years of recent relevant experience.
Mastery of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint tools.
Ability to provide constructive feedback to team members to support continuous improvement.

CPHRM-Certified Professional Healthcare Risk Management preferred
Knowledge of Healthcare industry and geographically dispersed organizations would be beneficial.
