About The Position

Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the Sr. Director, CSI Enterprise Systems is responsible for the strategic leadership, modernization, operational performance, and business value delivery of CooperSurgical's global enterprise systems portfolio. The role provides enterprise-wide oversight across all business systems and applications, with deep expertise in the Microsoft D365 and Navision platforms required to drive the organizations digital transformation agenda. The role leads a global organization responsible for enterprise applications that enable critical business capabilities across finance, manufacturing, quality, regulatory, supply chain, distribution, and related functions. As the senior technology leader for Enterprise Systems, this position establishes the application strategy, operating model, investment roadmap, and talent capabilities required to support global business growth, operational excellence, compliance, and digital transformation objectives. The Sr. Director partners closely with executive business leaders, IT leadership, and external strategic partners to drive technology modernization, optimize enterprise platforms, enhance operational effectiveness, and deliver measurable business outcomes across the CSI organization. The position maintains executive accountability for CSI's global ERP and enterprise application portfolio, ensuring technology investments, modernization initiatives, and operational capabilities enable long-term business growth, scalability, and performance.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated executive leadership of large-scale global enterprise technology organizations.
  • Proven ability to translate business needs into technology strategies that drive business transformation and operational excellence specially on the Microsoft D365 Platform
  • Strong capability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives within highly matrixed global organizations.
  • Experience building, developing, and leading high-performing global teams and leadership organizations.
  • Exceptional executive communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technology strategies and investment decisions to executive leadership, steering committees, and board-level stakeholders
  • Strong financial acumen, including responsibility for significant operating and capital budgets.
  • Proven success managing strategic technology vendors, managed service providers, and consulting partners.
  • Deep expertise in enterprise application ecosystems, ERP platforms, and application lifecycle management.
  • Significant experience leading ERP transformation, modernization, implementation, and optimization initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, integration strategies, cloud technologies, and digital platforms.
  • Knowledge of governance, risk management, cybersecurity, audit, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Experience supporting highly regulated industries, preferably life sciences, medical technology, or manufacturing environments.
  • 12+ years of progressive experience leading enterprise applications, specifically with Microsoft D365 ERP platform, and business technology organizations.
  • 8+ years of leadership experience managing global technology teams, people leaders, and strategic external partners.
  • Demonstrated experience leading large-scale enterprise application portfolios supporting global operations.
  • Significant experience leading ERP transformation, implementation, modernization, and operational support initiatives.
  • Experience managing global enterprise technology vendors, managed services, and system integration partners.
  • Proven success delivering complex technology portfolios while maintaining operational stability and business continuity.
  • Experience within Life Sciences, Medical Technology, Manufacturing, or similarly regulated industries preferred.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • IT service management and/or relevant Microsoft certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the multi-year enterprise systems strategy, roadmap, and investment priorities supporting CSI business objectives.
  • Align enterprise application capabilities with operational, regulatory, and growth strategies.
  • Drive application portfolio simplification, standardization, modernization, and scalability.
  • Ensure reliable, secure, compliant, and efficient operation of the global enterprise systems landscape.
  • Establish performance metrics and accountability for service quality, operational effectiveness, and business value realization.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives that enhance user experience, system performance, and organizational productivity.
  • Drive adoption, process standardization, and measurable business value realization across enterprise platforms and digital capabilities.
  • Lead ERP and enterprise application transformation initiatives that improve business capabilities and sustainability.
  • Advance modernization of legacy platforms while enabling innovation, automation, and digital enablement.
  • Champion adoption of scalable enterprise technologies and best practices.
  • Lead multi-year global ERP transformation programs, including organizational change management, process harmonization, solution deployment, and post-implementation optimization.
  • Ensure enterprise systems operate within applicable regulatory, security, quality, and corporate governance requirements.
  • Lead mitigation of technology risks, audit findings, compliance obligations, and application lifecycle risks.
  • Partner with enterprise technology and business leaders to maintain effective governance and risk management frameworks.
  • Develop and manage operating and capital investment plans for the Enterprise Systems organization.
  • Optimize technology investments, vendor relationships, and resource allocation to maximize business value and cost effectiveness.
  • Drive financial accountability across projects, operations, and strategic initiatives.
  • Provide executive oversight of strategic technology partners, managed service providers, software vendors, and system integrators.
  • Establish performance expectations and drive accountability for service delivery, innovation, and business results.
  • Leverage external partnerships to strengthen organizational capability and scalability.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior business and technology leaders.
  • Communicate enterprise technology strategy, performance, risks, and opportunities to executive stakeholders.
  • Influence cross-functional decision-making and align technology investments with business outcomes.

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for the global Enterprise Systems organization, including application leaders, solution architects, support teams, and external partners.
  • Build and develop a high-performing global team focused on innovation, accountability, talent development, and business partnership.
  • Establish organizational capabilities, succession plans, and workforce strategies to support long-term business and technology objectives.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and customer-centric service delivery.
