Senior Director, Compliance

Pura•Pleasant Grove, UT

About The Position

Pura is seeking an experienced, commercially minded compliance leader to establish and lead the company’s Compliance function. Initially operating as a department of one, this role will assess regulatory, contractual, and operational compliance risks; prioritize areas needing attention; and develop a phased approach to practical, appropriately scaled compliance practices. The role partners closely with Legal and business leaders to establish accountability, strengthen processes, and help the company navigate a complex regulatory environment. It balances strategic oversight with hands-on execution and emphasizes practical solutions that use existing business resources, technology, outside expertise, and targeted investments as appropriate. Pura operates across consumer products, fragrance, technology, and retail, so the role may address product regulatory compliance, environmental and sustainability obligations, retailer and commercial partner requirements, consumer protection and subscription practices, marketing and advertising, privacy and data protection, supply-chain and vendor compliance, licensing and contractual commitments, product safety and incident management, and international regulatory compliance. The Compliance leader will assess risks, establish appropriate accountability, and work with business leaders to determine whether compliance is best achieved through direct execution, oversight of existing processes, outside service providers, technology, or additional resources. The position’s direct operational responsibilities may vary according to risk assessments and business priorities.
