About The Position

NeoGenomics has an opening for an Senior Director, Commercial Finance who wants to continue to learn in order to allow our company to grow. This position will be remote. The Senior Director of Commercial Finance leads the commercial finance function by driving financial strategy, financial DCF modeling, forecasting, and profitability analysis. This role is a key business partner to Sales, Marketing, and Product teams across various businesses like Clinical, Pharma and ODS. This position requires a deep understanding of both finance and business operations, with a strong background in scaling finance functions in high-growth environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business or Economics; MBA/CPA/CMA preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in finance roles, including significant experience in commercial finance or FP&A
  • 5+ years of experience of people management experience
  • Strong knowledge of financial planning and analysis (FP&A), budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, business performance management, accounting principles, and financial controls
  • Advanced analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills with the ability to convert complex data into actionable business insights
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, financial planning tools, Microsoft Excel, and business intelligence/data visualization platforms
  • Proven ability to partner with business leaders, influence stakeholders, communicate effectively with executives, and lead cross-functional initiatives
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Work cross-functionally with Commercial (Sales, Marketing, Product) leaders to support revenue growth, optimize pricing strategies, Incentive comp strategies and influence business decisions through financial insights
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning for commercial functions. Develop models to drive revenue, margin, and customer profitability analyses.
  • Create and manage KPIs and dashboards to evaluate business performance, sales productivity, customer acquisition cost (CAC), LTV, and ROI on marketing spend
  • Partner with product management to build financial models supporting new product launch. Inclusive of presenting out to leadership and tracking performance once launched.
  • Analyze drivers of revenue and gross margin performance. Recommend strategies to increase efficiency and profitability.
  • Build and lead a high-performing Commercial Finance team. Provide mentorship, performance management, and professional development opportunities.
  • Present financial insights and strategic recommendations to executive leadership, the CFO, and CEO when needed
  • May attend continuing education programs or workshops; present best-practices to team; Participate in on-going Corporate training as assigned.
