About The Position

Directs activities of child development facility to provide instruction and care for children. Provides leadership and direction for child care programs to include Child Care Licensing, Subsidy and Resource and Referral. Responsible for the overall operation of the assigned areas including services, staffing, budgeting, and reporting. Also responsible for compliance with applicable Cherokee Nation, federal, state, funding or other agency requirements and regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from 4-year college or university in Early childhood education, Education or Business Administration or field related; no substitutions.
• An additional six (6) years experience in a related field.
• Knowledge of Database software; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
• Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.
• Must be able to operate computers and standard office equipment and be able to manage a large staff.
• Should be well versed in child care accreditation and licensing standards.
• Experience working in an inclusive work environment and managing across differences.
• Must meet and maintain pre-employment and periodic background investigation and adjudication for child care.
