About The Position

Fleetio is seeking a Senior Director of Brand Marketing to lead the company's brand narrative and expression. This role is crucial for evolving Fleetio from a well-loved product to a recognized and trusted brand in the fleet operations industry. The Senior Director will own the company's visual identity, editorial voice, social presence, video content, and earned media. This is a builder's role focused on defining and executing the brand's expression across all customer touchpoints. The position reports directly to the CMO and will lead an in-house team and agency partners, playing a key role in the company's next stage of growth.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in brand leadership.
  • 4+ years leading and developing teams.
  • Experience taking a B2B brand (ideally SaaS) through a narrative or identity evolution and successfully launching it.
  • Strong editorial and visual taste and judgment.
  • Comfort with being measured on metrics such as awareness, share of voice, engagement, and content-influenced pipeline.
  • Ability to partner effectively with product marketing, demand generation, events, and customer marketing.
  • Experience managing agencies to achieve strong results.
  • Understanding of and connection with real-world industries and buyers (fleet managers, technicians, operations leaders).

Nice To Haves

  • Sponsorship, partnership, or experiential activation experience (sports, motorsport, or large-scale events).
  • Experience building or running an in-house creative studio.
  • Challenger-brand or category-creation experience against larger incumbents.
  • Fluency in how content strategy is evolving with AI-driven search and answer engines.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the brand system and creative assets, including visual identity, creative direction, and design standards across web, campaigns, product surfaces, events, and sponsorships.
  • Define and execute the editorial strategy and content engine, including thought leadership, long-form content, owned research, and always-on content to build authority and support search.
  • Manage organic social media and video as a strategic channel to maintain brand presence and conversation between sales cycles.
  • Oversee communications and PR strategy in partnership with a PR agency, including executive visibility programs, awards, and consistent messaging.
  • Develop and execute brand activation strategies, particularly leveraging the NASCAR partnership and field presence into a year-round content and storytelling engine.
  • Hire, develop, and lead the brand and content team, manage agency relationships, oversee creative operations, and implement an intake and prioritization system.
