About The Position

Lead the exploration, research, initiation and execution of field partnerships and investments that drive the company’s long-term strategy. As a member of the Advisor Solutions team, the individual will lead the analysis and development of business cases for acquisitions, investments and partnerships. In addition, this role will lead external research to access benchmarks, build valuation models, coordinate cross-departmental team activities, and work collaboratively with senior leaders of business areas, legal, finance, communications and other areas of the organization.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience in leadership including research, M&A, financial analysis, valuation modeling, corporate strategy or investment banking
  • Demonstrated strategic ability to problem solve complex issues and identify practical resolutions aligned with the best interests of the company
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to build rapport and influence decisions at all levels of management especially senior management
  • Experience in shaping and delivering information in a way that can be easily understood and actionable is required
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills, coaching and mentorship experience
  • Ability to embrace ambiguity and make decisions with limited information

Nice To Haves

  • Strongly prefer MBA and/or CFA
  • Prior experience in leadership including strategy development and execution, valuation modeling, and operational processes

Responsibilities

  • Advances strategy by collaborating and partnering cross functionally to identify and evaluate potential opportunities related to partnerships and investments
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with strategic 3rd party capital providers
  • Leads the development of business cases and valuation models for prospective transactions where assignments may include strategic intent / alignment, financial summaries / sensitivities, and look back analysis post deal close
  • Drives the deal team agenda and keeps team organized throughout all transaction phases including initial outreach, negotiations, due diligence, etc.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships/dialogue with colleagues, senior management, and industry contacts to stay informed on company and industry trends
  • Develop and expand external relationships to increase our proactive approach and getting visibility into broader wealth management industry deal flow
  • Manage, train, mentor and develop team members.
  • Ensures team is informed and equipped with tools and resources to deliver results.
