As a Senior Director Actuarial Services at UnitedHealth Group, you will direct cross-functional teams and influence senior leadership to adopt new ideas and approaches. You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • ASA (Associate of the Society of Actuaries) or FSA (Fellow of the Society of Actuaries) designation
  • 8+ years of actuarial experience
  • Experience with Part D pricing or forecasting
  • Experience using models that involve large datasets
  • Advanced or higher level of proficiency in MS Excel
  • Advanced proficiency in SAS, SQL, Python, or other programming languages

  • Experience building models using SAS, SQL, Python, or other programming languages

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with existing Part D team and build actuarial Part D pricing models and methodologies
  • Lead actuarial analysis and services in support of model and assumption study buildouts and maintenance
  • Leverage experience and creative solutions to enhance current processes and develop brand new processes and models
  • Review results from pricing models and test sensitivity
  • Evaluate impacts of strategic benefit changes and legislative reforms
  • Participate in the Part D bid submission process
  • Manage the workload and career development of a small staff of actuarial analysts
