Senior Director, Accounting

DeepgramRemote, CA
$175,000 - $219,000

About The Position

Deepgram is seeking a Senior Director of Accounting to lead the operational accounting function as the company scales towards an IPO. This role reports to and works closely with the Chief Accounting Officer (CAO). The successful candidate will lead the team responsible for monthly close, general ledger, sub-ledgers (AP, AR, payroll), and accounting systems, including an upcoming ERP migration. This is a senior leadership position in a function that is being built in real-time, requiring experience in standing up operational accounting functions at pre-IPO companies that are preparing for their first audit. The role involves close partnership with the CAO, who manages audit firm selection, treasury, and technical accounting. The Senior Director will lead the team, the system implementation, and delivery, with the potential to expand scope as the function matures.

  • Demonstrable AI-native practice built into a real accounting function.
  • Experience managing managers and developing senior leaders.
  • Multi-entity exposure.
