About The Position

Leads the strategic and operational management of an assigned account, serving as the single point of accountability for contract performance, client satisfaction, and overall program outcomes. Acts as the executive account leader and trusted advisor to the assigned account’s stakeholders while ensuring full compliance with contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and service standards. Responsible for governance, performance management, and cross-functional alignment to deliver high-quality, cost-effective member outcomes and sustain long-term partnership success. Provides enterprise-level leadership for the assigned account relationship, establishes the long-range account strategy, advises senior executives on material risks and opportunities, and mobilizes leaders across the organization to achieve growth, retention, affordability, and member experience objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field (Equivalent experience will be accepted)
  • 12 years recent relevant experience
  • Experience in senior leadership roles directing large, complex health plan accounts, public sector relationships, or enterprise-scale programs
  • Progressive experience in health plan account management, sales, or strategic client leadership, including experience managing large, complex accounts and public sector clients
  • Deep understanding of health plan operations, health maintenance organization products, and regulatory environment
  • Experience working with large public sector accounts or government purchasers
  • Executive-level communication and presentation skills
  • Strong financial acumen including cost trends, pricing, and performance analysis
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive organizational alignment
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills in complex environments
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and manage high-visibility client relationships
  • Demonstrated success advising C-suite executives and governing bodies, navigating politically and publicly visible environments, and representing an organization in high-stakes external forums
  • Proven ability to lead leaders and large matrixed teams, establish enterprise governance, and drive accountability across functions without direct reporting authority
  • Advanced strategic and financial judgment, including evaluation of growth opportunities, contract economics, affordability strategies, investments, and enterprise risk
  • Demonstrated ability to lead organizational change, develop senior talent, and build scalable operating models that support growth and long-term partnership performance
